European e-Skills 2006 Conference

5 October 2006 - 6 October 2006 Thessaloniki, Greece
Organised by several European Commission Directorates-General in co-operation with the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training and leading ICT companies, the Conference will provide a platform for the presentation and examination of the work of the ICT Task Force and the new e-skills and e-learning expert group. The outcome of the discussions will be used to prepare a long-term strategy for ensuring adequate e-skills in Europe. This could take the form of a Commission action plan on "e-skills for competitiveness, employability and workforce development" in early 2007.
