LLinE Lifelong Learning in Europe

WORKSHOP 6. Wise Leadership – holistic management program to be published in LLinE

Success in a competitive situation requires that human factors are taken into account; all business is ultimately human activity. Human processes and resources can be a strategic success factor if the organization is managed and led wisely.

Wise leadership is a leadership and management method where
· Both human and economic factors are taken into account and combined successfully
· Well-functioning interaction is consciously developed in the organization
· Experiential learning is embedded in management practices
· Real effectiveness is acquired through taking the time to think and clarify the direction

Wise leadership enables the organization to remain functional in difficult situations, to change as its operational environment changes and to learn to be more productive.

In this workshop we share our experiences of big scale organizational development projects and discuss the following questions:
- Good work life as part of good life: what are the factors needed in work for people to thrive?
- Power and interaction. How to use power in a way, which creates trust and empowers the organization?
- Wise leadership in practice. How to take the human factors into account in different leadership situations?
- How to build an organizational learning architecture where individual, group level and organizational learning processes support each other?
