Ninth International LLinE Conference January 2007 Learning Regions - Learning Cities January 18 - 20, 2007 at the University of Lapland, Rovaniemi, Finland The Conference starts on Thursday Jan 18 at 18.00 and ends on Saturday Jan 20 at 16.00 On the Arctic Circle, in winter when the sun barely rises, it is good to present and discuss developments in and demands on visions and cooperation across different borders, regional, country, community borders. Can education strategies be improved by the networking of regions? In different parts of Europe, can regional economic growth, the integration of the socially excluded and the involvement of citizens in society be promoted by lifelong learning? How can ICT serve regional equality? How can the European and international awareness of the regions be reinforced in all parts of Europe? • Keynote speakers who represent international top level in their fields. • Paper and poster sessions, thematic workshops, and study visits into the wide world of practice. Call for papers on research, case studies and projects. Send in an abstract of 200 words by November 15, 2006. Target group People working and researching in adult and continuing education, in higher and vocational as well as in non-formal education.
