Ari Antikainen is Professor of Sociology of Education, University of Joensuu and President of the International Sociological Association’s (ISA) Research Committee on Sociology of Education. He is editor and author of The International Handbook on the Sociology of Education (with Carlos A. Torres et al.) (Rowman & Littlefield, 2003), In from the Margins: Adult Education, Work and Civil Society (with Päivi Harinen, Carlos A. Torres et al.)
