Dr. Reinhild Otte CV

With her background of university studies in economics, law and social sciences, and final examination with the degree Diplom-Volkswirt (economist), as well as M.rer.soc.oec, Dr.rer.soc.oec,. second state examination for secondary school teachers teaching at vocational schools, Dr. Reinhild Otte has acquired Professional practice in various fields of industry in Germany and abroad, in vocational education as well as in university teaching and research. She has a wide experience in adult education and lifelong learning from both vocational and non-formal education. Since 1985 she has been at the Ministry for Education, Youth and Sports of the State Baden Wurttemberg (Germany), for many years responsible for adult education. Presently she is Head of the department "Europe, supraregional and international affairs, Bundesrat (federal council)".
Dr. Otte is also chair of the Ad Hoc Committee of Experts for the European Year of Citizenship Through Education (CAHCIT) of the Council of Europe.
